We just experienced an earthquake here in the Los Angeles area. Even though the epicenter was more than 50 miles south of Santa Clarita, we still had two strong jolts. It is reported that the earthquake was a 5.4 magnitude, centered in Chino Hills. There is some damage, like a broken water main at Cal State University in Los Angeles, but no one has reported any injuries, so that is the good news.
